Prelude: Acknowledgements

Hi all,

Firstly, I must apologize to you all for the blog, about which I talked to some friends. I was supposed to open my blog on the Internet, but it turned out that it would be difficult in my current situation. Thus I changed my plans and decided to send you emails about my life in Ghana. Some would be surprised by the word “Ghana”. Yes, I’m in Ghana now, working as an ICT teacher in a deaf school. There are so many things to explain for it, so I will talk about it little by little in the mails following.
Secondly, let me explain my current situation. I’ve already spent for 1 year and 3 months (more than half of my stay) as a volunteer here in Ghana. When I came here, I thought I could have time to work on the blog, but it turned out that my work as a teacher is extremely busy and tiring unexpectedly. I know it’s not very good to excuse myself, saying “time” and “busy”, but once terms start, my thoughts are taken by my children and subject, so I don’t have energy left to write for it.
And thirdly, the Internet access is pretty bad at my place; its speed sounds like more than 10 years ago and I can’t use the Internet for a couple of days sometimes. So it would not be very easy to upload writings regularly and be totally better to send emails in this environment.
Enough excuses. So I hope that you are all fine in your lives, maybe excited and maybe bored, and you’ll enjoy my words about my life in Ghana. Thank you.
Lastly as for English, I try to use easy words and expressions as much as possible because I am not a native speaker of English and for most people coming here, English would be the second language. Therefore I wouldn't dare care about mistakes in English, please forgive me even if my English annoys you; please be so kind to accept the "modified speech" of Martin Luther King, Jr.:

"I have a dream that my poor little English will one day live in people where it will not be judged by the mistakes of grammar but by the content of its character. I have a dream today!"

Thank you very much:)))

weareallconnected,

ALTHOUGH I wrote like the above as an “email”, I changed my mind again. I decided to start my blog in English because my adorable poor little Anh Tuyet encouraged me, pushed me, pressured me, blackmailed me, threatened me to work on it. I’m a kind of person who needs “aid”, so with her warm support, I’ve come to start the blog now. I dedicate this blog to my little Tuyet, thank you:))) However I’m not very sure if I can update it so frequently due to my laziness and the excuses above, ideally once a week. Anyway I’ll try to do my best for that. Without my friends, I am nothing. I’m always thankful to you all. Thank you very much. D@IGO D@IGO
